Life is Good!

I am such a newbie, I know I know almost nothing...I am okay with that.  I know we're supposed to sip and sip often.  To be honest I do not desire much more than a sip at a time.  But why only a sip-is it so that we don't overdo it and stress the pouch or what.  Oh and in the interest of cuteness I have named my pouch Oscar.  he he

I hope Oscar doesn't become a grouch Smiley

I think the sipping is so you don't overstrain the pouch.  Even too much water can fill up and put pressure on a small opening, most likely making you naseous.  Ever guzzle too much water when you were a kid, so you sloshed?  A bit nauseating.

Oh, I found a great help.  Propel makes a vitamin water bottle that has a great "sipping" top. Twist it open and closed, and I can stick it in my big purse and carry it anywhere.

Hope you're feeling better and better!

If you dump anything more than a sip in there, Oscar will let you know about it, real fast.

Picture a funnel.

Picture yourself over filling the funnel, putting too much water into the funnel that is coming out out at the bottom.

What happens? Yep..that' what you are like now.....a funnel. Overfill the funnel and it will come back to ya.

Love the smell of paintball in the morning...

about a month out, I was out playing paintball and during a break I was drinking some water and took way too big of a gulp.

It felt like I had swallowed a softball, and it was stuck up there. I had to sit down, and just focus on breathing slow and steady for about 5-10 minutes until it passed and I was able to function again.

Minnie gets grumpy when I take too big of a drink.  It hurts in my chest and then it is a lot longer before I can drink again.  So for me, it is just bad all the way around.  I can do more of a small drink now than just a sip and be OK.

It gets better but you need to heal so only a sip and lots of them.

The first 6 to 7 weeks I was only able to take tiny baby sips or else id be in so much pain.  But now I can pretty much drink like I used to.  Just not huge gulps and definitely no chuggin water like I used to.  But so glad I dont have to take baby sips anymore.

At first I thought I stretched something out but my food intake is still really small.

I use a 1oz cup and my 5 minute countdown timer for my liquids.

If fred is complaining I skip 5 mins and give him a rest.

This is the only way I get all my fluids/proteins (isopure) in as I guess I'm a terrible judge of time and volume Smiley
