I've been getting to know all of you for some months now, and you know nothing about me! It's not that I didn't want to introduce myself - but all this forum stuff is new to me, and honestly, the technical stuff intimidates the "you know what" out of me. Hey, I figure I'm lucky I can log-on and read about everyone. So, here goes....

First, can I say how I appreciate everyone's willingness to help and educate other members. What a lifesaver - even though I don't ask the questions, someone usually has and I am grateful for the answers.

I've lived nearly all my 52 years in San Diego. I had RNY surgery on June 1, 2009. My surgery was with Pacific Bariatric, as contracted through Kaiser.  My surgeon is Dr. Eugene Rumsey.  I weighed 312 at consultation, 298 on surgery date, and today I weigh 255.

I love the BTV videos and am so happy Mickey got the bugs worked out.

Ok my screen is jumping all over the place... I'm starting to get scared I'm going to lose my note... so here goes, I'm going to post... (wish me luck) Next challenge... getting a photo posted.

Thanks so much for all your support - I love being a surgically altered freak!

Glad you posted!  My screen jumps, too, if my post gets longer than the box I'm typing in - annoying.

You sound like you're doing great!  I had the vertical sleeve gastrectomy two weeks ago today, on July 21.  This forum has been a huge help to me since I joined way back when the forum was first kicking off.  I love it, and glad you're here too Smiley

Hey Monica!!

Glad to see another San Diegan hanging out here. I'm so glad you decided to hop out of lukerdom and be a part of the show. As for your fear of the technological side of this place, fugetaboutit! If you have any problems at all just feel free to send me a private message or email me directly and I'll get you fixed up.

Welcome aboard, not don't be a stranger!

Wow!  It was guilt that got me to make my first post, but it's the love that will keep me posting!  Thanks to all of you for the warm welcome! I can't tell you... I didn't expect to feel this way.  Thank you.

I live in Penasquitos, near Poway. My Kentucky grandmother named me...
I will definitely be asking technical questions... so I can particpate here with everyone!

Until next time,

Thank your hubby for showing us you lovely face.

You live in Rancho skinny Penis? :-)

We are just south in Lovely....Santee...or Poway south as I like to call it. :-)

Ask away....

My family comes from Kentucky as well...Not sure that's why I was named Toni Lynne..though.

Toni - you made me laugh out loud -- I'll have to use that one if you don't mind!  Rancho Skinny Penis - too funny.  Yep, there's something to those "hillbilly" girl names - they sound kinda rhythmic, like music - you can hear the blue grass in the background!

Welcome!

I have to say I am so homesick with all of you San Diegians around.  I was born and raised there, in the Ocean Beach and Old Town areas, and went to college in the SF Bay Area...met my hubby and have been up here about 15 years.

I miss San Diego!

Good old Ocean Beach! The land of dread locks, neck beards and head shops. Ya gotta love the place!

errr....maybe I should have said Mission Hills and Point Loma to have avoided a negative association!?

Go Point Loma High School Pointers!  Class of 94!

But...I do love OB!

Negative association? Nha.. there ain't a damn thing wrong with OB. The band I'm in plays in a club down there about once a month, one of the funnest gigs we play!

Kiersti - My husband and I were raised in San Diego. When he got out of college we moved to the Antelope Valley, Lancaster California. In case you don't know the area, it's considered "high desert" - 118 in the summer and 10 degrees in the winter. And the windy season starts January 1st and ends December 31st! Nothing like our San Diego - we couldn't wait to come home.  Ten years later we made our way back! Things had changed in SD, but it was home!  Yes, you will get to come back - keep your eye on the prize, click your heels three times and  before you know it . . .   BTW - Clairemont High - class of 1975!!
