I have a wii. Got bored with the wii fit, but  got value for money.

Anyway, I borrowed EA Sports Active Personal Trainer - wow. 28 min work out and I'm.....(to put it politely) very tired.

I think it's gonna be an excellent change from my running, cycling and blading, which have all fallen by the wayside a bit recently.

I'm gonna try the "28 day challenge" on medium intensity - should be interesting!  Cheesy

Strength training for me today.  So, 30 minute interval walk to warm up (not HIIT by any means), 30 - 35 minutes intense upper body, and ab work.  Run around town doing a million things.  It feels great to be able to move like this!  What a blessing!

Did not go to the gym this morning . . .

but walked 1.5 miles before work and another 1 at morning break.

Hope to do another at afternoon break if it is not too hot.

OK it was too hot, but did another last night with DH and the dogs.

3.5 for the day, I know it is not much for some folks, but for me, this is amazing!

Did 5.7 miles on bike in 30 minutes, at #2 resistance.

I've decided to keep the time at 30 minutes, but increase the intensity gradually (settings are 1 to 10), and see how many miles I can get in that time.  perhaps it is my old athlete training back before fatness, where I learned from a respected coach (and later Susan Powter) that 30 to 45 minutes of cardio is kind of the "nirvana" of cardio.  It worked then, and going over 45 minutes never really bettered anything, so I think it's a good thing.

So anyway, that's the plan - at least 5 days a week cardio on the bike or hiking on a weekend day, and three days a week (for now) doing strength/muscle stuff.
