This is a great idea.  I think I've still got some list making to do, but here are a couple of mine:

To weigh under 250 pounds - done
To have a BMI under 38 in case I need a liver transplant - done
To walk across the floor without being out of breath - done
To take less prescription medication - done
To fit more comfortably in theater seats - done
To go horseback riding again - done (thanks to my good friend Amy)
To weigh under 200 pounds - not quite there yet, but closing in _ added 10/12/2011 - done!  been there awhile now! Yay!
Now - to weigh less than half what I weighed at my high 322 in April 2008... that's under 161

To be continued... Wink

Here is some of my list:

1.  To go to an amusement park and ride all the rides without worrying about if I'll fit or not
2.  To fit in even old theater seats
3.  To not need a seatbelt extender
4.  To sing with a Jazz or Rock/blues band (they want sexy as well as people who can sing)
5.  To hike parts of the Blue Ridge Trail without dying after mile one
6.  To run a 5k
7.  To do a Traithalon
8.  To take Tennis lessons and get good at it
9.  To wear a "little black dress" in a size under size 14
10.  To hike without my feet hurting for the next two days
11.  To kayak without fear of getting stuck
12.  To have an improved/enhanced sex life (which right now is nil, so that shouldn't be a stretch)
13.  To get the job I covet at the corporate headquarters of an adult toy company Grin
14.  To get off the floor without major contortions
15.  To be able to cross my legs for long stretches of time - DONE!
16.  To be in a size 14 or under
17.  To weigh under 250 - DONE, see my ticker Smiley
18.  To weigh under 200
19.  To lose the equivalent of a supermodel (130 lbs)
20.  To NOT feel like the fat girl in the room
21.  To go rock climbing
22.  To be in a swimsuit at a pool party or beach without wanting to hide under a serape
23.  To get my back piece tattoo after 100 lbs lost (that'll be my reward)
24.  Go to a spa without being mortified
25.  To be whistled at by a stranger who means it

I'm sure more will be added to the list as time goes on Smiley

I'll put together my list later, but a couple of comments and LOL moments:

Toni - the class to "learn how to strip for your man" explains the lovely dance moves at the end of this week's episode. You go, girl! I'm putting that on my list, too. We have a company here in Nashville that offers stripper pole lessons, and I wanna take them!

Indy - did I miss a post somewhere about you? Is there a reason why you might need a liver transplant?

Kris - my dear friend. I screamed out laughing at # 13. That is SO YOU!!! Please hire me as your VP, OK?

Yeah..that was some HOTNESS right there wasn't it. Ain't Mike a lucky  man to have me? :-) (did I mention I thought he had already turned off the camera)

Actually that strip for your man class was HYSTERICAL to take.  VERY informative...if not to accurate.

One example:

She gave us some key sentences to supposedly make your man aroused.

One was "Love you Big Daddy".

When I came home and told Mike about the class..he just laughed really hard at me and said.PLEASE DONT EVER USE THE WORDS "DADDY" if you want to turn me on.

We still laugh about it.

My liver issue is due to a "rare" (lucky me) disorder called hepatic adenomatosis tha caused 21 tumors to grow in my liver.  Pre-surgery I also had non-alcoholic steatohepatitis and was WAY sick.  Last test, MRI in August, came back with 15 tumors and they are smaller and hopefully will keep getting smaller.  Didn't post it except on my Facebook and I think on the OH.  The treatment for now is to wait and watch, but transplant was mentioned as a possible necessity.  The tumors can rupture and cause internal bleeding and or... well, lights out.  16 percent chance of turning nasty bad into the big C.  Anyway, things are MUCH better these days, but you cannot even qualify for a transplant if your BMI is over 38.  Nice, huh?

Toni - too funny.  I know I would worry if calling my fellow "Daddy" turned him on... Ew!

"Daddy" - ummm, NO! Never used that sexually and never will. Yuck! But...still interested in the class! I need to learn those sexy moves!

Indy - I am SOO sorry about your diagnosis, and yet glad that I asked. You keep us posted on this, OK? I am putting you on my prayer list as I type. Thank the Lord for WLS, right? I see on your ticker that your BMI is way below 38, so at least you're in good health now. And the shrinking tumors are even better! YAY!

I think some more to do's for me are going to be plastics... I'm a long way from thin yet, but I can already tell I need some lifts.   Grin

LOL - you all crack me up in return.  By the way, I'm not going for the president of the company job (sorry, Tammy, I don't think they'll let me have a VP, but you can be my VIP Wink

I've put in for a copywriter position, writing copy for the company products for the web (gotta make sure you do the whole SEO thing - Search Engine Optimization) and all that stuff - maybe I'll be able to use more creativity once I'm there.  I know I'll have great stories to tell at dinner parties while everyone else is still eating  Cheesy

I've also put my resume in at another place that has created a mass-multiplayer online game, and they are looking for a Product Manager (marketing and such).

The adult toy company would be right up my alley though, yeah Wink

Thanks T2Nashville.  This is all very new to me.  Have been watching from the sidelines for quite a long time.  This is the best site I have found for advice, I am from the UK and we have nothing like this, nothing as helpful or supportive!!  I think I am going to around for the long haul.  Can you believe my mum wants me to write a Will before my surgery, she is not quite looking on the bright side.  Surgically altered freaks have gone into hiding in the UK, we are very much viewed as someone who cant control themselves! Embarrassed

We're so glad you're here! Have you seen Diane (greebo) on the boards? She's from the UK as well.

And while I want to be very positive for you (you'll do fine!), I also had my will, living will, and power of attorney in place before my surgery. That's not negative thinking - that's just good sense. I would never ask my family to be responsible for something I could take care of myself. I want them as unburdened as possible - they'll have enough to think about if something like that should happen (but it WON'T!)

Please stick around - we would love to have you! You and Diane can continue to give us the international viewpoint!

Well yes! Hello  Cheesy

This is my favourite place - there are uk boards for support, but they don't have the personality that this place does Wink

I could wax lyrical for hours about how fantastic the suport is here at BTV - so positive, truthful, non -judgemental, honest, informative....

I also like the fact that we can talk about FOOD and even.......shhhhh......swap recipes!

It seems like enjoyment of food becomes a taboo subject in the uk after wls.

In fact, it seems that we're all such a bunch of great people that no topic is off limits  Grin

Welcome yellowhoneybuns!

Welcome to BTV, yellowhoneybuns (I also love that name Wink )

This is a wonderful and supportive board.  Like Tammy, I would encourage you (and every adult, honestly, to write up a will - to me, it's a just in case, not just for surgery, but just for walking out my door in the morning.  I don't have a lot, but I want to make sure if something happens to me, what I DO have gets to my daughter.

Your surgery, I'm sure, will be just fine - there are so few complications anymore, I'm sure you will be fine, too.

Hang in there!  Your time is almost here!
