I had a RNY on 3/3/09. Today I can fit my 14 year old daughter with me into my pre-op pants. I beat the diseases that have killed half of my family. Diabetes and heart disease not to mention the fact that I actually have a life now. 6 months ago I was on 12 pills a day pre-op and today I take only 1 for gout. I love the fact that I can sit Indian Style on my living room floor for the first time in 20 years. My kids love he fact that I can climb through the jungle gym as fast as they can. In short I think that for 6 months I have achieved about as much as could be expected. 128 pounds and counting! Excuse me while I get my Freak On!

Thanks everyone! I love the new me more every day. I was thinking today about all of those times I used to wish hope and pray to someday some how be "normal" weight. Then I remembered how that was always followed by the thought that it was impossible. I remember how bad that hurt. I think that was why I became a freak. It hurt me too much to accept that there was no hope. I swear I wish I could have done it sooner. I am so glad I did it and glad you all give me a soft place to land when I need one. I dont need reminding about why I am a freak. I sometimes need to be reminded that I am a freak. I sometimes forget that I am making progress. I think that is why I sent in the pics. I hate the befores so much that I refuse to look at them but I think that is bad. I think that if you dont look at the before pics that you loose your place in your journey and feel like your still the fat guy. I know that is a constant struggle for me anyway. Well I was wondering if this could be my Freak of the week submission. I hope so cuz I cant ever make the pics post on my own. Thanks Toni!

I might add a special thanks to Christina (the 14 year old daughter in the pants with me) And Benson Jr the little three year old laughing in the white tux. They are my kids and my life. I also have Scott (got married this week to Christal and Robert) They are my kids. The oldest is 25 Scott, then Robert, Wesley, Christina then Benson Jr. youngest is 3 there are 5 in all living and Connor that didn't make it. (Still Born at 9 months). I think that besides my wife Pretty Princess Paula that pretty much includes my entire world. I am glad to have you meet them. They are happy to know you as well.
