It stands for: World-Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms

And people who take part are called Wwoofers. Basically, wwoofers voluteer their time and work in exchange for food and somewhere to stay.

I've been thinking about this for a while as a way for me and DH to see  bit more of the wolrd. There is a WWOOF-USA.

I know it's a long shot, but does anyone have any experience of WWOOFING ethier as a wwoofer or a host?

Never heard of it but I will check into it. We eat mostly organics in our house so I'm supprised I haven't heard of it before.

There was an article about it in Maclean's magazine in Canada.  i know there are farms in Ontario that host workers.
