Ok ok I know this sounds crazy, but does anyone have days when it seems like you make more saliva than other days? Sometimes I feel like Pavlov's dog half the day. And its not necessarily when I'm hungry, sometimes it is a half hour or so after I eat. I'm pretty sure this band is making me FREAKING CRAZY  Tongue

I'm not a bandster but....... I find that some artificial sweeteners have exactly that effect. Afterwards, I salivate like mad and it makes me want to keep eating and eating....

I have not experienced anything like that. Luckily, I have not experienced the foamies either, but I am sure that I am not immune. I made it through my first 2 months with out having any episode of foaming, or stuck food in my band, and then one day, while I was eating scrambled eggs, (my personal favorite daily breakfast), the band decided that it didn't want eggs down there and I had to run to the trash can to let my body forcibly remove them. (It was scary). Funny thing though, I went right back the next morning to my beloved eggs and haven't had a problem since.

It is really an individual thing. If I were experiencing that, I would go back to my food journaling and see if I could isolate what is different on the days that I was really salivating over the others, it could be one particular item in your menu causing it. Thats just a thought, but that is where I would start.   Freak On!

When I had sinusitis last month, I had foamies and slim all the time. Seem the more I drained, the
more slim I produced. Went through tons of tissue and disposable cups.

I feel really fortunate.  6 weeks out, I've not had any problems at all.  No foamies, no sticking, no puking.  I just feel GOOD!  I'm sure I'll have something happen at some point.

Heh, if you stick to your surgeon's instructions and eat the way you are told, then it's unlikely that you would have any "foamies" etc......... but if you're like me and try to eat a sausage that was sitting on the kitchen counter left over from DH dinner when you are supposed to still be on liquids.....then you might just find out what pure terror feels like  Shocked Shocked Shocked  Embarrassed Roll Eyes

Keep up the good work, we will all slip up/make a mistake/find an intolerance at some time  Smiley
