The reason I had WLS

WWW
« on: March 14, 2010, 01:55:32 PM »

So my surgery has been rescheduled! I guess it was a good idea it was postponed, I ended up with a nasty sinus/chest cold the next week. I was able to get the letter the surgeon needed and am having surgery Friday the 26th. Two weeks away! I think I'm ready, ready as I can be I suppose.
Any advise on what I need for the first few weeks after surgery would be great!?!
I've gotten several different protein samples
3 months of vitamins
broths
sf jellos
isopure Rtd
greek yogurt
food scale
small bowls, 1 cup containers w/lids

my surgeon does the first week clear liquids, second week full liquids
any other ideas on what I should have?
 Thanks Grin

The white elastic waist band they sometimes give you in the hospital that wraps around your abdomen to help hold stomach area firm.   Cool  Especially helps when you are up walking around or if you have to cough.  An extra pillow to hold across your abdomen when you have to cough or sneeze.

If the hospital don't send you home with the waist band.  Ask for one....  I know it helped me tremendously that first week or two out of the hospital.
