Thank yall for the welcome. I will have  alot of questions. I am trying to make sure I am prepared. I have bought several samples of protein shakes. I have read  several books on WLS, I have watched and rewatched BTVs previous episodes and many many vlogs from WLS people. I still need to get my vitamins but I will order them through my surgeons office . The biggest challenge  for now is  weaning myself off of the Dr peppers. I have a stop date of June 15. I have  started cooking pouch friendly meals for practice.  I am so excited to  get started on my new healthier life.

Sounds like you have it pretty much under control Smiley

I'd still contact the FREAKY Vitamin companies and get the free samples as your tastes change as a baby-freak

I always tell freaks in training that I recommend using the time between now and your re-birth to re-educate your body on things you will need to do post-op.....

Dump caffeine
Dump Soda
Drink at least 64oz of h20 daily
Start walking daily
Start to journal your food/nutrition intake at myplate/sparkpeople etc
Put your fork down between bites
Take 30-45 minutes to eat your food
No consuming fluids with your meals stick to the 30/30 rule

Good luck!

Welcome to the show! I think you'll find that weening yourself from the sodas won't be all that difficult. Before the megaplex was the megaplex to was always rife with that bubbly nightmare knows as Diet Pepsi. Now a days there's nary a bubbly drink to be found. It really was easy to dump the stuff. It's mostly Crystal Light these day.

Welcome to BTV.

Sound like you are on the right track. You'll be so thankful for giving up those darn sodas.  I don't miss them at all and I used to be a 6 pk a day diet pepsi drinker.

We don't even keep soda in the house anymore.   Love it.

Good for you! I'm trying to wean myself off Coke Zero. I've gone from buying 1.5l bottles to 500ml bottles, and am keeping myself to a one-a-day limit. I'll get there... hopefully before my surgery date (5 weeks from today!). On the other hand, I've been eating fast food almost everyday, since I won't be having that either. I'm already so sick of most of it, that I don't want any more. Who knew? Maybe I should have done that years ago...
