Ok so I'm 1 month post opt tomorrow.. I've been doing pretty good still on full liquids until Sunday.  But today I got my monthly visitor first time post opt and I dont know about some of you other women out there but I've always been a heavy flower so this morning I felt like I was going to pass out and weak for the first time since surgery.   Now all day I've been with a runny nose and now stuffy... I'm not sure what meds I can take for sinus, since I did get that big paper that said no NSAID I don't know what I can take and doc office is obviously closed til Monday anyone have any suggestions.

Oh forgot the best part on last Fridays post opt meeting with doc I'm down 41 lbs..

anything that is tylenol based is ok.  anti histamines should be fine too (at least I take them)

Right after surgery I had my monthly visit for a month!

Congrats on 41 lbs!  yahoo!

Protein, protein and protein

Try some RTD's as it's a two-for

Cottage cheese
Greek yogurt
Blended Protein Soups

For good protein on soft foods, try refried beans with cheese.  They are high in protein and easy to get down. Or some egg salad made with lite mayo, put through a magic bullet.  Wendy's chili put through the magic bullet is good and high protein.

Here are a couple of high protein easy to prepare dishes.

RICOTTA BAKE:

1 – 15 oz. Container of low fat Ricotta
1 C Parmesan cheese (split in 1/2) (Use the fresh grated from the grocery store, the stuff in the can is too dry)
1 egg

Mix all together - except for 1/2 C of parmesan -- put in a baking dish – (I used a 1 quart size) add another ˝ C of cheese on top and bake @ 350 till golden & bubbly - about 30mins
Add marinara or pesto sauce on top once done.
Reheats quite nicely!

Note: once you can have veggies, you can add a layer of the following:
1 frozen pkg. of spinach thawed/drained (squeezed) well - you can also use any veggies (e.g., zucchini and/or eggplant and sauté till soft)

DESSERT:

1 15oz container of low fat Ricotta
1 small tub of SF Cool Whip
˝ package of SF Jell-O (instant) cheesecake pudding mix
˝ package of SF Jell-O (instant) chocolate pudding mix

Combine all – let set overnight – ENJOY.
