Juniors tend to be cut slimmer in the hips than misses and smaller across the chest. So for me I'm not Hippy so some juniors fit  but most of the tops do not have enough material to cover the chest.

Misses? Oh now you're just trying to confuse me, lol!

In the Uk...all I am aware of is: kid clothes....teenager type places, adult clothes and plus sizes. And that cheaper clothes tend to be cut smaller than the more expensive places...
No wonder you folks have a tough time shopping.  Grin

Now I can shop in Top Shop and all the fashionable places, that must be what you mean by "Junior" shops
Junior is a size range, not really a fashion type. Misses are the even sizes 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, etc. Juniors are 00, 1, 3, 5.

So it's how the clothes are cut more than the style. I shop at H&M and they have Misses sizes but the styles are young and hip. But it's not a Junior shop. Forever 21 is a Junior shop though because they have the odd sizes.

Basically, Misses are for hour-glass figures -- people with hips & busts and Juniors are for people with a boxier / slimmer shape.

That's funny that the cheaper clothes are cut smaller in the UK. Here in the US, if you want stuff cut smaller, you go to where the rich people shop!

Aahh - This is all starting to make more sense!
In the UK, kids clothes are sized by height......teenagers and adults are all just on the same "ladies dress sizes" - i.e. 6, 8, 10, 12.

But, in the shops aiming their ranges at teenagers, I nearly always have to go up a size to accommodate my hips!

Well, thanks for clearing that up.  Cool
