I am scheduled for surgery on Monday., I was told Thursday that my authorization hadn't come through yet, but they were still working on it.
I called the coordinator at my surgeons office yesterday and she said, "the ins. co. is lacking some information from the dr. the info needed is not in your chart. the dr needs to cal them, but he is out of town"!
He is supposed to be back in the office tomorrow which will only give them a short time to push it through.
The fiscal year at my husband's job starts over Dec. 1. This year we have paid our total out of pocket. If I can't get this done this month, I won't be able to get it done. We have a very high deductible and high total out of pocket. We don't have the cash to do it after Dec. 1. I had to self pay for my WLS and for some of the other surgery I had done. We are tapped out.
I would appreciate good thoughts and prayers.
Awaiting any surgery causes some anxiousness and now this. UGH

Dear God, please let this come through for Maddie. You know how very much she needs this and how hard she has worked to get this far. She has been through so much already, and You have been gracious in seeing her through all of that. I ask that You please honor her faithfulness by giving her this surgical opportunity that will make her life richer and fuller.

Just got off the phone with the dr's office. We are still waiting on the ins co. for approval. I was told to keep my pre-op appt this afternoon, just in case it comes through.

I saw the dr and the appt went well. As I was leaving, the ins. coordinator chased me down the hall to say she had just gotten the authorization!!!!!
I check in at 12:45 Mon. afternoon. Scheduled for 2:00 p.m. w00t.
