Thanks Lynnda, I am having the DS yep. =)

Jenna - Dr. Smith in Georgia gave me a tentative date of Feb 9th, but we'll see. I was looking at other surgeons since it was taking so long.. but if Dr. Smith can do it first, I'll be there. I'm sick of waiting. XD

Jay...you brought tears to my eyes. Big Hugs!!

Everyone one else jumping in here...Welcome aboard and HOW the Heck are you all. :-)

So DSers....anything specific you would like so see on an episode of BTV? A particular site you want us to pimp? A particular product or lifestyle change you need us to let people know about?  Or even a DSer that was a special person in your journey who made a huge difference to you and the DSer community?

Honestly, I would love to see Jenna do another Day in the life eating with DS Math associated to it. It really helped me pre-op to see what I 'could' eat and then post op, it helped me to add the DS Math in and realize I was not eating enough calories.

Jenna, sorry to throw you under the bus but you have wonderful recipes and it is always so fun!

KJ.. I agree.. that day in the life of post she did was excellent..  And as I mentioned before.. didn't seem to different from how I eat today - 7 years out from RNY..  With a few adjustments for portion sizes (thanks to the pouch) and taste I was all down with the yumminess.

I think that is one of the things I like about the "day in the Life" thread is that DSers are not gluttons, we eat fairly similarly to other surgery types with certain tweeks. It shows that we are not eating spoonfuls of bacon grease but just normal food.

One of the reasons I chose the DS was the fear of not being able to eat dense meats and fiberous veggies. I know not everyone has problems with them but with the sleeve this seems to be less common and I was thankful that I seem to have avoided this.

Yep.. I think it is awesome that there are so many choices.. I agree with you DSrs though.. It's hard to choose the DS if you don't know it's out there.. OR.. if you believe all the myths you hear about it.

I will be switched on April 5th! Loved the DS episode and great to be here! Had the band for 5 years and had it removed over a year ago and spent the last year jumping through insurance hoops, but I am almost there!
