one- two months before surgery (but I also attened a couple online here)
2. Were they specific procedure (RnY, Band, Sleeve) or Mixed?

Weekly here on BTV- none in person

I have listened to every BTV chat and watched every BTV.

Pre-op, I think 1 or 2. It was mixed.
Post-op, I attend my surgeon's almost every month, about 10x a year. I attend an OH Lunch about 5x a year and another support group about 2x a year. They are all mixed.

If there are support groups here, I don't know about them. For one thing, Korea is not a very "support group" kind of place, if you know what I mean. For another, WLS is very new here, so it may take a while before they start looking for ways to improve.
Another girl I know that went to my surgeon is trying to start a support group, probably after New Year's when we are all back from holidays. There are several other foreigners besides ourselves that went to our doctor, so we are going to start meeting up.

We were required to attend one support group meeting before surgery. They were a mixed bunch, (notice I did not say mixed UP, just mixed) of all kinds of bariatric surgery. I attended one, being the dutiful, obedient type I am.
Plus, they wouldn't give me the surgery without it.
Afterwards? Well Hon, I just got my sleeve done on Monday so I don't really know. It isn't required because they don't have anything else to hold over my head anymore, and I really didn't find it all that helpful before. It was kind of like a bunch of people getting together to talk about Amway products that everyone already knew about...no offense to the Amway people out there. It was more of a rah! rah! meeting than anything else, and I don't go much for those.
