Has anybody had plastic surgery any any part of their legs/thighs?
I have had 2 previous plastic procedures and am VERY happy with the results from both but now I HATE my legs, especially my thighs.
I haven't found anybody who is truly happy after having their legs/thighs done yet and was curious if anybody from this forum is happy with their results.
Thanks.

I just had a small thigh lift. The scars run in the groin line so I'm not so worried about them. It's made a huge different in the laxity of the skin in my upper legs. No more folds and lines standing and looking from the front. I love it.
Now that said ... the groin area heals slower ... and with this kind of cut the surgeon has to fit like 11 inches of skin to match up to 7 inches of skin (just an example) .... so small folds must be made to make them fit so the scar will be a little thicker there. But, like I said it's in the groin line so I don't care. I'll have pictures to share before and after soon.
Tom

Ian ... Here are Dr. Sauceda's prices from his website. He discounts the more you have done. For example my total would have been 6K more priced individually to give you an idea of the discounting. Dr. Sauceda Websites: Practice: http://www.medicaltourism.com.mxPatient Group: http://www.obesityhelp.com/group/Dr_Sauceda_PatientsPrice List and Financing Procedure Required stay Cost Small Liposuction 5 days 3,500 USD Medium Liposuction 5 days 4,500 USD Large Liposuction 5 days 5,500 USD Small Tummy Tuck 8 days 3,500 USD Medium Tummy Tuck 10 days 4,400 USD Large Tummy Tuck 12 days 5,500USD Lower Body Lift (post Massive Weight Lost) 12 days 7,200USD Breast Augmentation 5 days 4,000 USD Breast Lift 5 days 4,500 USD Breast Augmentation + Lift 8 days 5,500 USD Breast Reduction 7 days 4,800 USD Rhinoplasty 5 days 3,500 USD Chin Implants 2 days 3,000 USD Cheek Implants 2 days 3,500 USD Lips Augmentation 1 day 800 USD Arm lift 7 days 4,500 USD Thigh lift (small one) 7 days 4,500 USD Eyelid surgery 5 days 1,800 USD Gluteal Implants 7 days 6,000 USD Vagainal Rejuvenation 3 days 1,800 USD Once your total goes over 6K I believe it becomes "all inclusive". Here is a bit about that: The all-inclusive plan includes: * The surgery * Preop evaluation * Hospital * Compression garments * Anesthesiologist fees * Surgeon fees * Follow up * Hotel Stay for two persons for free * Local transportation * And we will refund your airfare up to 600 usd * (food not included)

Oh my goodness! Those prices are amazing. I was just quoted $23000 CAD for a body lift from a local surgeon. That is a fabulous price especially if it includes all of the other costs you mention! !
I assume because you have used him, Tom, that you found him to be reputable and the facilities top notch, right?

Oh yes. I'd send my mother I'd been researching for a long time. So long 2 of my friends used all my research and went before me!! LOL I was waiting until after I ran the NYC Marathon Nov. 7th ... then the holidays. You are accepted in the NYC marathon almost a year before so I had to wait once I made it in. The patient group on OH also helped seal the deal seeing how happy everyone was. Dr. Sauceda is so caring and really is a work horse who seems more concerned with you then money for sure! I have NO complaints about my experience so far. Going out of the country for a surgery is a big decision. I weighed everything out and I couldn't say the negatives were more then the positives so I went for it. I also saved about 2/3rds of the cost here in the US. I could NEVER have afforded it all here either. I would have felt "half done" for a long time! To have a surgeon experienced in post massive weight loss skin .... and truly an artist ... I was blessed to find out about Dr. S!

Just out of interest Tom how much excess skin did they end up removing?
Dr. Katzen told me that for every 100lbs you lose you can expect 8-12lbs of excess skin

Ian I had NO FAT left on my body. From having the DS ... and my running I was pretty darn lean. That said what was removed was really just SKIN. Not much tissue or attached fat ... so with both surgeries my doc estimated only about 5 lbs.

Thanks Tom I figure I'll be looking into surgery in another 12-18 months - I want to maintain my weight for at least 12 months prior to getting sliced and diced

I just made this comparison photo of my thighs for you Maryellen. Again, I had a small upper thigh lift ... scar is in the groin. As you can see it took care of what I needed and I'm very happy with it!

I was looking at all of the pics you posted on the DS board at OH.. I think you look great, Tom! Thanks for all the info on the doc! I was lucky enough to not really need plastics but I am looking into lipo, maybe. There are just some stubborn areas that refuse to give up the fat no matter what I do. :-)

Thanks! I'm very happy with my work so far. It takes time to see what the final results will be though. Dr. S. is very kind and honest .... and above all pretty darn talented from what I have seen of his work.
You are lucky to only need some lipo! Go for it!
