This book has nothing to do with WLS, but everything to do with those little conversations you have in your mind when you decide to eat - or not eat - something that you had not planned to eat. Or at least it should be a conversation that you have, instead of grabbing food without thinking.

As with many diet books I have read in my many years of dieting, I was so excited about it at first, then the enthusiasm waned. I got the book only a few weeks after my surgery, so I treated it asw a way to prep for the future.

BUT, I have highlighted many of her ideas, and I often page through it.

I find that I have learned from her and I do some of the things she suggests.

If you know anything about cognitive theory in therapy, then this will be familiar to you, I guess.

I suggest it to all.

There are a number of proponents of this approach to eating. I like "The Rules of Normal Eating" by Dr. Karen Koenig.
