Good morning  folks,
thanks for all the "welcome backs" - that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. x
Hope you are all doing well today.
I'm wondering if I should be concerned about the number of eggs I am regulalry eating......I know that the cholesterol they contain is not seen as problem anymore, but I have 2 for breakfast (9 times out of 10 anything else makes me dump), and possibly more during the day and one in a MIAM at night - so 2 - 5 eggs per day...any thoughts?

Menu:
2 scrambled eggs
Coley (white fish), brocoli, carrots
banana, apple
mutton and veg curry with brown rice
MIAM with tsp lemon curd
vits, water, ex - yes, yes, nope.

Di - I eat that many eggs myself. Just had my yearly physical - cholesterol perfect. I don't worry about it - the protein is fabulous, and I actually think they're good for me. If you're really concerned about the fat content, you could switch your b'fast to egg whites only. Here in the US, we have Egg Whites sold in a pourable carton (Just Egg Whites) - very convenient.

B: Ham and egg cuppies
S: Nada
L: Chicken salad
S: Nada
D: Last night, I made Rob's version of pizza crust (a BBQ pork version). It was good, but with all the cheese, my scale was up this morning. I also missed the crustiness of the tortilla version, but it was a nice variation. Tonight, I'm getting a pedicure, so not sure what I'll pull from the fridge.

Vits, water, exercise - yes to all today!

Tammy - thanks for your thoughts on eggs! I wasn't worried about the fat....and I think that they have lots of good stuff in them........it was just that when ever I read about them, "they" say that 1 or 2 a few times a weeks is ok - so about 6 a week........I'm eating about 20!
I'm all about variety in my diet and this does seem like an over-reliance on one thing, but I do find eggs so yummy and convenient......don't think I'll worry as long as my bloods continue to be ok too......  Smiley

Eggs have gotten pricey here in the US, and like you, I'm extremely dependent on them. Nothing seems to hold me through the morning better. This week, I found them on sale at Walgreen's, of all places. They limited us to 2 cartons - I've been back twice! LOL! I'm thinking about making a quiche soon - when I get back in the cooking mood. It left me this week, and I have barely been in the kitchen.

I would enjoy them until you find out if they are affecting you negatively. Hasn't happened to me yet, thank God! I've found that most of the serious cholesterol issues are hereditary anyway.
