TGIF Freaks!!

Because of your surgery, is there any particular food or drink, that you just will no longer allow yourself to eat?

I recently realized that since surgery, I haven't eaten a favorite "combo" of mine, Cookies AND Milk. Not to say I haven't eaten a cookie, or drank milk...but never together. I think because it breaks multiple rules at once.

Cornflakes and ice cold milk.........or any breakfast cereal with cold milk.
Technically it's eating and drinking at the same time.....tried it once, and usually I don't learn that quickly, but the dumpimg from this was so spectacular, I will never do it again!

Used to love dunking biscuits (you say cookies, I say biscuits!) in my coffee.......no more of that.

Ice cream......not any amount or any type (even sugar free), all have terrible results.

ICE CREAM = THE DEVIL!

Although I have recently tried Arctic Zero Coffee and Arctic Zero Vanilla Maple and I really like them both.. But of course they aren't ice cream.. As our episode with our review on them stated - they are like frozen protein drinks.. Gluten free.. Lactose Free.. Sugar Free.. So no issues with tummy (or other) problems!

"Because of your surgery, is there any particular food or drink, that you just will no longer allow yourself to eat?"

Let's just say that the list of what I WILL allow myself too eat is MUCH shorter than the list of foods that I USED to eat......

I think I'm too new to know what I have totally taken off the table (so to speak) - I'm pretty sure most traditional bread is on that list.

Pizza and doughnuts.

I have done "better for me" versions of these, but Papa John's no longer has a standing account with me. And the Krispy Kreme folks miss my face. But neither place will see me again, if I can help it.

No, but there probably should be!  Embarrassed I avoid junk most of the time, but I've had those crazy moments of weakness... I regret them, but I am determined not to beat myself up too badly over it because I've done that over and over and over in a vicious cycle for years. I'm still trying to come to terms with my level of tolerance for simple carbs - well, even grains...  Undecided

Unfortunately any whey product causes me to vomit. The smell, the texture, the taste... I just got extremely nauseous typing about it... no go.

I used to eat McDonald's Big Mac Combo (yeah... super-sized) at least once a week.  I dare not return to that dark, foreboden place again.

Have you tried Isopure's unflavored?  It really has almost no taste or smell - I also know there is a "Pure" product advertized on here that is also suppose to have no taste.

Oh, I miss frozen yogurt and champagne.  Breakfast on the weekends used to consist at times of strawberries dipped in chocolate and a bottle of champagne (Le Reve, specifically).

I can't think of anything. There is stuff I used to have weekly that I now have a few times a year but nothing that's completely cut out.
