I really missed these so I made one today and was actually surprised that (other than sodium) it was pretty healthy.

Note:  A while back I researched the differences between regular bacon and turkey bacon and regular bacon has less fat and half the calories of turkey bacon.  They trick you with the serving size . . . regular bacon is measured in 4 slices and turkey bacon is measured in 2 slices.  So I figure why eat blah bacon when the good stuff is better!

2 slices of Pepperidge Farm Very Thin 100% Whole Wheat Bread Toasted
4 slices of Oscar Mayer Ready to Serve Bacon
1 Tablespoon Fat Free Mayo
Lettuce
2 slices of Tomato

166 Calories
8g Fat
17mg Cholesterol
551mg Sodium
18g Total Carb.
1.5g Sugars
8.5g Protein

That sounds delicious! Thanks for the tip on the bacon, too. I like the lower sodium turkey bacon, but I love regular bacon too.  Cheesy

LeAnne - I am SOOO with you on the bacon, girl! I've been doing the real thing for quite some time now. Very much worth it in moderation.

Oh! I must have one! My mom and I use to eat BLTs for Saturday breakfast and I have been wanting one...just too lazy to cook! I think tomorrow...

Does anyone here eat tomato sandwishes? Mayo, tomatoes, a little salt and pepper on whatever bread you are comfy with - that's MY fav summer sandwich!  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

LOVE tomato sandwiches during the summer with fresh garden tomatoes!!  However, I don't eat them anymore because they lack protein so if I have one I add lots of meat to them.

Loved tomato sandwiches growing up! But I like Miracle whip with mine.  Embarrassed They're good with cheddar cheese too... Miracle whip light isn't too awful in moderation and that low cal high fiber bread is pretty good - from Kroger. I forget the brand name... 35 calories a slice... don't do it often, but the stats are pretty good for bread.
