Do you find you do better with a large variety of foods, or if you stick to a few things that you really like?

I tend to do better when I stick to a few basics that I like.

Well, lately I feel like I'm struggling and I could probably benefit from going back to basics. I live alone which means I end up  eating the same things for days or I'm cooking every day. Which is no fun for me.

By the way... I'm so glad you guys are back.  Grin

I like to change up my ol faithfuls. Example I love cottage cheese, but I love to put bacos and/or nutritional yeast on it....YUMMY! Also flavored nuts like bbq, wasabi, salt n vinegar almonds, and masala, curry, or sweet onion cashews. I get my crunchie fix with the chip flavors....happy Mel! Latest addiction is a diet cherry limeaid ice water at sonic. YUM!

I do better keeping my weight on an even keel if I stick to a very similar pattern, but I crave variety sometimes. I go through phases where my favorites change. Thanks for the heads up on that diet cherry limeaid ice at Sonic Mel! I'll be looking for that. I am flumoxed as to why they don't have diet Icee's and Sugar free slushies... Now it sounds like someone does!  Cool

I like the same things for lunch and breakfast most days. Dinners I cook on Sunday 4 or 5 things in big batches and freeze ahead so I have a lot of stuff on hand ready to go. If I do it day by day I don't make as good of choices.

I find that I do better with a relatively consistent menu - which I do during the work week. On weekends, I tend to stray and that's when I also end up with dumping or foamies or both if I'm not careful.    I am starting to be a little more adventurous - I made a big pot of bean soup today in the crock pot!

I just stick to the same things during the week because I just don't have the time to waste right cooking.  Weekends, I do venture out and eat almost anything I want (within reason).

I crave diversity in my meals.  Of course I can always depend on a bowl of cottage cheese to get me through lunch in a pinch, but, unless I feel extremely lazy, I want something different almost every night - as you can see from the recipes I post here!!

I would stab myself in the eye with my fork if I had to eat the same thing every day!

I don't eat crazy things but I do like variety in my food. Different proteins, different fruits and veg, I am getting excited about cooking new, healthy, low-fat, sugar-free things...I believe you can cook healthy and delish at the same time.

I will eat most the same thing every day until I get sick of it. Then I'll eat mostly something else for days until I get sick of it. Plus I have standbys that I never get sick of that work well for me.

I pretty much eat the same thing everyday. I just seems like too much trouble to cook and then clean up the mess for one person.
