Have a Terrific Thursday!

Do you do leftovers? Is it a struggle for you to throw away uneatten food at the end of a meal?

I can do left overs, some people can't. In fact, I like certain foods that taste better cold of reheated. Free Lunch

I love left overs! - they were quite a novelty to me...there never used to be any such thing in our house.
Now I always puposely cook extra to keep in the fridge ready for another meal and anything I leave on my plate also goes in a plastic box - why cook twice when you can cook once?  Smiley

Leftovers:
Yes I can do them. I don’t eat out to many times, usually don’t bring anything home. I have done it in the States, at a restaurant, so I can have lunch or dinner after. Here at home, DH cooks large so I can have my protein and veggies ready for lunch for a few days, if that counts as leftovers these are the kind I eat!!

I typically don't like leftovers. However, since the surgery it only makes sense to eat them. I also recently got a crockpot and have found if I make a big meal we don't have to cook for several days and I like that. However, it still really depends on what it is if I will find it appetizing as a left over. I do really like Bear Creek Chili (with extra lean beef) as a left over. I can eat that all week Smiley

With the cost of food, I hope to have leftovers.

I love cooking big batches of stuff and then packing it into individual servings as it makes everything so much easier for lunches to take to work and for quick and easy dinners... i've even cooked up a few days breakfast and packed them up in advance, but I've never had a problem with eating leftovers. As for take homes from restaurants - I don't often, but usually it's no problem when I do.  Smiley

Some things don't heat up well and make my Princess Stomach very unhappy...other things are just fine.

My daughter decided to learn to make Risotto - Oh My Goodness! It turned out amazing! So, Risotto and herb marinated chicken breast for dinner...and for lunch the next day! So good! All 4 bites that I can eat were spectacular...

totally into leftovers - sometimes they are planned overs - I like the idea of making pre made  individual servings - that would make things easier.

When the boys were little we avoided the stigma attached to leftovers by calling them ”plan-aheads”, which continue to be part of the family vocabulary.  I've always cooked with plan-aheads in mind.  I've never considered not eating them - or at the very least using them as a component in another dish.

I can do some, but far less than before. Have problems with reheated meat at times.
