I love the food network.  I love the Next Food Network Star, and Throwdown with Bobby Flay, and Ace of Cakes, and Iron Chef America, and Chopped Smiley

And on Bravo, I love Top Chef!

And when it's on, I evel love Hell's Kitchen (see a reality/food/competition theme here?) because Chef Ramsay is pretty hot.

Yeah, to Melissa and other newly pouched freaks:

I can watch the Food Network about 24 hours per day, know all the chefs, and have met Paula Deen and Rachael Ray. I also could watch during the first few weeks after my surgery and it didn't bother me at all.

However...

That doesn't last. I have to be very careful, because as Kierie said, it feeds the addiction. Be sure to watch the beginning of the shows to see what they're making. If it's something you can tweak for your plan, great. If not, turn the channel! I've gotten into trouble more than once and found myself standing in front the fridge when I shouldn't be!

That being said - can Tyler Florence BE any hotter??

um Tyler Florence is my boyfriend.  I just havent told him yet.  LOL  He's such a hottie!

And about the shows... i turn the channel if they arent making something that sounds good and that I think I can tweak.  Otherwise its a waste of my time watching it now.  Unless it's Tylers Ultimate.  I'll watch all of his shows cause he's too cute to turn the channel.  lol

Icecream that good for you...and exercise.

Have you ever used one of those?  You really DO get a workout, because it takes FOREVER to freeze.  I'd rather throw  my ingredients into an ice cream maker and go work out with my ball and bands!

I still love the Food Network.  I DON'T watch Paula Dean - the woman made a cheeseburger with krispy kreme donuts for a bun and a fried egg on top, for cripe's sake!!  She deep fries mac and cheese!  She's funn as all getout but her food would derail me in an instant.

The competition shows don't get me worked up as much - they're usually making things that can be adapted for WLS - and I tend to watch it for that reason - how I can make something gourmet healthy as well.  Smiley

I like watching the Food Channel for the spices and flavor combos.  Also the cooking/prep techniques.  Then I go into the kitchen and play with things I know I can eat.  It doesn't make me hungry at all.

Has the contest winner been announced?  If so, I missed it.  I also missed the deadline and remembered the contest when I was purging my pics stored on my computer.

I like watching DD&D and Man vs. Food

I was wondering before surgery how it would affect me post surgery seeing all the junk food etc.. So far so good

Doesn't make the slightest bit hungry.... In fact kinda makes me feel sick to think I could have given them both a run for their money a few weeks ago.

YAY! I WON!!! WOOHOO! Thanks, guys, for the BA certificate and for choosing my dessert. I've actually made it twice more since I entered it for family functions, and everyone loves it. I'm so excited!
